Minisymposia

A collection of minisymposia forms the major part of the Conference technical program. A minisymposium consists of one or more technical sessions that focus on specific topics or research areas. The technical sessions provide a flexible format that accommodates both invited presentations and regular contibuted conference papers. Each technical session contains four 25-minute time slots.

Volunteer minisymposium organizers will develop each minisymposium. The organizers are responsible for the technical content of their minisymposium; they select invited participants and review abstracts of contributed papers. They serve as the point of contact for each minisymposium and act as liaisons to the Conference Chairs . The minisymposium organizers are responsible for collecting and editing print-ready abstracts from the minisymposium authors and for transmitting them for publication in the Conference proceedings. Web-based tools will facilitate the process of collecting, reviewing and transmitting the abstracts.

Call for Minisymposium Proposals:
The Conference Chairs invite proposals for minisymposia from the Fluid Dynamics community. All proposals must be submitted electronically from this web site using the Minisymposium Proposal Form . A proposal consists of a title, a list of organizers, estimates of the numbers of invited and contributed papers, and a brief abstract (500 words or less) that describes the topical content of the minisymposium and explains the significance of the proposed topic. There should be at least two organizers for each minisymposium. A help page is available for the Minisymposium Proposal Form.

The minisymposium proposal deadline is August 21, 2006 . Notification of the final selection of minisymposia will be given no later than September 1, 2006. Please visit the Minisymposium Proposal Form .
