Conference Central can operate on a Mac® OS X, Microsoft Windows® 2000, or Microsoft XP platform. To use Conference Central, you must install FileMaker® Server and FileMaker Server Advanced, and Lasso® Professional 7. (You may also want to install FileMaker® Developer, or FileMaker® Pro (the client application) to work with the database.)
FileMaker® Pro Requirements
For Microsoft Windows® 2000 or XP
- Intel-compatible computer Pentium 90 or higher
- Windows 98, Me, NT 4.0 (Service Pack 6), 2000, or XP (Web Companion and ODBC features require Windows 98, NT 4.0, 2000, or XP)
- 32 MB of RAM
- CD-ROM and hard disk drive
- Microsoft TCP/IP or IPX/SPX network (for network sharing capabilities)
For Macintosh® OS X
- Apple G3 computer or higher (excluding G3 upgrade cards)
- 128 MB of RAM
- CD-ROM and hard disk drive
- TCP/IP or AppleTalk network (for network sharing capabilities)
For All Platforms
- FileMaker Web Server Connector (does not support Instant Web Publishing)
- Windows 2000 Server and IIS 5.0
- Mac OS X Server 10.1 and Apache Web Server 1.3.23/24
- Red Hat® Linux 7.1 and Apache Web Server 1.3.19
- JDBC Driver
- JDBC API Compatible Driver
- JDK/JRE 1.1.8 to 1.3 compliant
Lasso® Professional Requirements
For Microsoft Windows® 2000 or XP
- 300 MHz or higher Pentium-compatible CPU
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, 2000 Server, XP Professional, or Advanced Server 2003.
- 256 MB of RAM (more recommended)
- Monitor capable of 800 × 600 resolution
- Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 5 or 6 (included with supported versions of Windows) or Apache 2
- ImageMagickT version 5.5.7 or higher
- Java Virtual Machine compatible with Sun, JRE 1.4 (Java 2)
- Adobe Acrobat® Reader® version 5.0 or higher to view the electronic documentation.
For Mac® OS X
- Mac G5, G4, G3, or compatible computer
- Standard installation of Mac OS X (10.2 or higher) or Mac OS X Server (10.2 or higher) with an HFS+ formatted hard drive with BSD subsystem option (UFS systems are not supported)
- 256 MB of RAM (more recommended)
- Monitor capable of 800 × 600 resolution
- Apache Web Server 1.3 or 2.0, or alternately the latest version of WebSTAR V
- X11 for Mac OS X 10.3 is required for the [image] tags in Lasso to function (http://www.apple.com/macosx/x11/)
- Adobe Acrobat® Reader® version 5.0 or higher to view the electronic documentation.
Certification Note: Lasso Professional 7 is certified to work with Mac OS X version 10.2 or better with HFS+ (Mac OS Extended format) and with default Mac OS X installations of Apache Web server. Modified versions of Apache and customized httpd.conf configuration files may work with Lasso Professional 7, but cannot be officially supported.
For Red Hat Linux® 9
- 300 MHz or higher Pentium-compatible CPU
- Installation of Red Hat Linux 9 with network support
- Default Red Hat Linux installation of Apache Web Server 2 (usually included with standard installations of Red Hat Linux)
- 256 MB of RAM (more recommended)
- PDF view application for viewing the electronic documentation
Certification Note: Lasso Professional 7 is certified to work with Red Hat Linux version 9 with default Red Hat Linux installations of Apache Web Server 2. Modified versions of any required components may work with Lasso Professional 7, but cannot be officially supported. Please see the Release Notes included with the product for a complete listing of required packages in order to run Lasso Professional 7 on Red Hat Linux 9.
